Rev. Daniel McLellan was born on the 6th of May, 1861 in Lobo Township, Middlesex County, Canada West. He was the sixth child and second son of John Archibald Fitgerald McLellan and Mary Caroline McCall.
Daniel McLellan and Etta Vader were married about 1886 in Tuscola County, Michigan.
Daniel and Etta had the following children:
By 1900 Daniel was working as a carpenter in Melrose Township, Charlevoix County, Michigan. His wife Etta reportedly had 3 children, only 2 of which were living -- 12-year-old Ethel, and 5-month-old Eula.[1]
His wife Etta, 44, passed away on August 6th, 1910 in Bay Township, Charlevoix County, Michigan.
Daniel McLellan, 50-year-old farmer and resident of Charlevoix; and Mabel M Crapsey, 27, resident of Antrim County, were married on May 23, 1911 in Charlevoix, Michigan. Their marriage was solemnized by clergyman F M Taylor and witnessed by Dorothy Goldinger and Austin Taylor, both of Charlevoix.[2]
Daniel and Mabel had a daughter:
Daniel passed away on March 19, 1934 in Boyne City, Michigan. He was buried in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Horton Bay, Charlevoix County, Michigan.
