Biography

Samuel McLellan was born on 12 August 1784 in Gorham, Maine. His parents were Cary McLellan and Eunice (Elder) McLellan^[1].

He married first Sarah McLellan, but she passed away shortly after their marriage in 1810. He married her sister Rebecca on 20 November 1811 in Gorham^[2], but Rebecca also died shortly after her marriage, in 1812. Samuel then married Tabitha Flood on 10 January 1813 in Buxton^[3]. They had thirteen children^[4]:

3. Rebecca, born 23 Apr 1816; married David McKenney

4. Mary Ann, born 3 Mar 1818; died young

Samuel passed away on 20 October 1853 in Gorham^[5] and is buried in Eastern Cemetery.
