Biography
William McLellan was born on 26 February 1813 in Gorham, Maine. His parents were William McLellan and Mehitable (Harmon) McLellan[1].
He married Mary J. Meserve, but the date of their marriage is uncertain. They had seven children[2]:
- 1. Eliza Ann, born 27 Jun 1838; married Ezekiel Harmon
- 2. Ellen R., born 30 Oct 1839; died young
- 3. Mary Ware, born 12 Feb 1841; married Alexander Allen
- 4. Charles I., born 6 Jun 1843; married Clara Libby
- 5. William H., born 10 May 1845; married Ella Haskell
- 6. Winfred M., born 21 May 1849; married George Henry Douglass
- 7. John M., born 17 May 1851; married Carrie Haskell
William passed away on 1 September 1850 in Gorham[3] and is buried in Eastern Cemetery.
