Elizabeth was born 10 April 1878 at Ballyscullion (near Bellaghy), County Londonderry, Ireland. She was the daughter of David McClenaghan and Mary Johnston. [1]

The family emigrated to Canterbury, New Zealand under the Assisted Immigration program, aboard the Westland arriving 21 March 1880. [2]

In Ireland, the family had spelt the name as McClenaghan (including on Elizabeth's birth record), but the variation McLenaghan was used in New Zealand.

She passed away 19 April 1895 age 16. [3] The funeral was 21 April 1895 to Addington Cemetery. [4] [5]
