Janet was born on February 18, 1866, in Moy and Dalarossie, Inverness-shire, Scotland, United Kingdom. [1] to John McLennan and Ann Shaw.
In 1871 Jessie (Janet) was 5-years-old, and lived at Dell, Moy and Dalarossie, Inverness-shire, Scotland. She lived with her father John, mother Ann, older brothers Alexander, Angus, Robert, and younger sister Ann.[2]
When Jessie (Janet) was 15-years-old she lived at (Shoemaker's House) Dell, in the district of Moy and Dalarossie with her parents and siblings. [3]
Jessie (Janet) married William McIntosh sometime between 1881 and 1891. [4]
On the 1891 census, Jessie (Janet) lived with her husband William and their sons Robert, 3 and John, 2 at Tomatin P C, Inverness in the registration district Moy and Dalarossie.[5] Her occupation is Foreman Grocers' wife.
In 1901[6] Jessie (Janet) was 35-years-old and lived at 100 High St, county of Banffshire, in the registration district of Aberlour. She lived here with her husband William, who's occupation was Mercht Draper & Grocer. They had five boys; Robert, John, William, James, and Alexander.
Jessie passed away on May 7, 1920 and is buried in the Pluscarden Churchyard, Elgin, Moray, Scotland.[7]
