Biography

Christina Ann was born on the 9 January 1889 at Ladysford Cottages, in the Hamlet of Ladysford, directly south of the Village of New Aberdour, near Boyndlie, Tyrie Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland[1]. She was the daughter of Walter Wernham McLeod and Helen Munro.

Marriage

Her marriage to her widowed brother-in-law, William Mutch (Hay) takes place on the 28 May 1914 at 80 Union Street, City of Aberdeen, St. Nicholas District, Aberdeenshire, Scotland[2].

Residence

With the arrival of the 1891, Christina Ann is living with her parents Walter Wernham (McLeod) and Helen (Munro) and siblings Jane, Ellen "Helen", Walter and Elizabeth Jamesina Munro in a Cottar House at the Settlement of Ladysford, south of the Village of New Aberdour, Tyrie Parish, Aberdeenshire, Scotland[3].

By 1901, the family have moved to Blindburn Croft, Hamlet of Blindburn, Ellon Parish, north-west of the Town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Christina Ann is living with her parents, Walter Wernham and Helen (Munro) and siblings Walter, Charles Alexander and Robert Middleton[4].

At the time of her marriage to William (Hay) in 1914, Christina is still living with her parents Walter Wernham and Helen (Munro) at Blindburn Croft, Hamlet of Blindburn, Ellon Parish, north-west of the Town of Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Her occupation is recorded as a Domestic Servant[5].

Death

She passes away on the 20 December 1954 of a Cerebral Haemorrhage at 10.40pm. Her place of death is 13 Arbroath Road, in the County Town of Forfar, Forfar District, Angus, Scotland[6].

Burial

Christina Ann was buried on the 23 December 1954 at Newmonthill Cemetery, on high ground to the south of the Town of Forfar, Angus, Scotland[7]. Her burial record reads as follows:-
