Alex McLeod has Scottish Ancestors.

Alexander John McLeod was born in 1889 in Wingham, Huron, Ontario, Canada. He is the son of John McLeod and Catherine Hastings.^[1]

In 1901 his family was living in the village of Lucknow, Bruce, Ontario, Canada. Alexander was 12 yrs. old and was the second oldest. He was living with his father John McLeod (age 38, factory worker), mother Catherine (age 40), and siblings: Donald L (14), Jessie M (9), Margaret E (7), Annie S (6), and Wilfred J (3). They were of Presbyterian faith.^[2][3]

In 1911 Alexander was 22 yrs. old and he was living with his family on 1 Darling St. in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada. He worked as a finisher in a paint shop. His father worked in a furniture factory, and his siblings had other various occupations.^[4]

Alex was a machinist when he married at 28 yrs. of age in Brantford, Brant, Ontario, Canada. He married 26 yr. old Lucy Huff of Brantford, Ontario. They were both never previously married.^[5][6]

About 1920 they had a son, Harold Murdock McLeod in Brantford, Ontario.

A border crossing document shows Alex was living in 1941.^[7]

In an immigration document on Aug 11, 1952 his son Harold stated that his father Alexander McLeod was living on 99 Dundas St. in Brantford, Ontario.^[8]

Alexander likely passed away in Brantford, Ontario, Canada. Alexander was mentioned on a memorial in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Brantford, Brant County Municipality, Ontario, Canada with a death date of 1953.^[9]
