Info from another obituary: Buddy “Bud’’ McMahan, 88, of Lebanon, died Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Springfield. He was born March 8, 1925 in Omaha, Neb. to James A. and Margaret Elizabeth Jay McMahan. He was preceded in death by his parents; half brothers, Jay and Charles Caster and a half sister, Goldie Courson.

On March 9, 1947 he married Wilma West.

He owned and operated McMahan General Merchandise at Russ. He was a member of White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma; two daughters, Jeanne Mark and her husband, Tim, of Sheldon, and Joyce Massey and her husband, Noel, of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Bradon Massey and his wife, Triesa, Matthew Massey and his wife, Casey, Stephanie Smith and her husband, Lee, Britlyn Reid and her husband, Culley, Scott Mark and his wife, Adrienne, and Savana Ayres and her husband, Brandon; six great-grandchildren, Cannon, Anna Grace, Cole, Easton, Sutton, and Isaac; also other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Buddy “Bud’’ McMahan will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 19, 2013 at White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in White Oak Pond Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Hotel Team and VFW Post No. 4107, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.

Biography

Buddy 'Bud" McMahan, son of James A. and Margaret Elizabeth (Jay) McMahan, was born March 8, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska and passed from this life on July 13, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri.

On March 9,1947 he was united in marriage to Wilma West.

He was preceded in death by his parents; half brothers, Jay and Charles Caster and a half sister, Goldie Courson.

Bud was a member of White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include, his wife Wilma; two daughters, Jeanne Mark and her husband, Tim, of Sheldon, and Joyce Massey and her husband, Noel, of Lebanon; six grandchildren, Brandon Massey, Matthew Massey, Stephanie Smith, Britlyn Reid, Scott Mark, Savana Ayres, six great-grandchildren, Cannon, Anna Grace, Cole, Easton, Sutton, and Isaac; and several other relatives, and many friends.

He will forever be missed by all who knew him.
