Funeral services for James A. McMahan, 90, of Lebanon, were held May 19 at White Oak Pond Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Theron McCloud officiating. Interment was in White Oak Pond Cemetery directed by Holman Funeral home. Kenneth Burd, organist, played "This is My Father's World." Escorts were Ray Deckard, Russell Luthy, Earl Scott, Ross Griffin, Freeman Broyles and Sydney Barr. Mr. McMahan, son of William H. and Florida Ann McMahan, was born in Beatrice, Neb. June 19, 1886 and died May 17 at Russ. He was married to Margaret Jay "Maggie", who survives. Also surviving is a son, Bud of Russ; two granddaughters, Joyce and Jeanie, and a daughter-in-law, Wilma, all of the home. Before coming to Missouri he followed the poultry business in Nebraska and Dakotas, and he farmed for a number of years. He owned and operated the grocery and service station at the Twin Bridges on Mo. South 5 until 1954.
