Biography

Adeline was born in 1902, the daughter of William McMaster, a master mariner and Jane Jackson. Her birth was registered by Annie J. McMaster also of Mullaghboy, Islandmagee who was present at the time. [1]

Adeline (age 8) was residing in a house 33.2 in Gransha (Island Magee, Antrim) during the 1911 Census of Ireland with her Parents and 8 Siblings. Her Uncle James Jackson and 3 of his sons were also residing with them. [2][3]

Adeline passed away about September 12th, 1983 (an official record cannot be found, yet). She is interred in St. John's Church of Ireland Graveyard, in Islandmagee. [4]

    In affectionate remembrance of Jane, daughter of William & Jane McMaster who died 31st July 1891 aged 1 year & 8 months. Also their daughter Jane R. Jackson who died 27th Augt. 1895 aged 2 years & 5 months. Their beloved son John aged 18 years was lost 14th Feb. 1917 by the torpedoing of the S. S. Inishowen Head. The above-named named William McMaster died 14th Nov. 1917 aged 62 years. The above-named Jane McMaster died 4th Nov. 1955 aged 89 years. Adeline L. McMaster died 12th September 1983.
