Eivar "Ewan" Mcmillan was over 30 years old in 1810, when his name was put on the Durness, Sutherland, Militia List.
In 1811, Ewan's illegitimate daughter with Ann Sutherland was baptised.
In 1815, when he wed Flory MacKay, it was noted that Ewan might also be called Evander. His son, John, later used Evander as a middle name.
After their son John's baptism in 1816, they seem to vanish from Sutherland. By 1841, their son John is in Australia, becoming a publican. He died there there in 1867. Ewan's illegitimate daughter stayed in Scotland with her mother's family.
Adjusted the birth year to before 1780 the Bio states that Eivar was aged more than 30 in 1810 therefore he must have been born prior to 1780 and not 1789. Added location of Sutherland, Scotland with an Uncertain flag this is estimated based on his marriage location however he could realistically have been born anywhere in Scotland.
