Goodspeed's. Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Mississippi: Volume II, Part II Pelican Publishing, 1999. Information on the Williamson family in Desoto County, MS, including Lucanus W. & J. C. Williamson. The father, Charles Wesley Williamson, worked as a merchant doing a great deal of trade. The family were natives of South Carolina and Alabama. Lucanus twice represented the county in the state legislature.
