Biography
Janet (McMillan) Power was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Janet was born in 1876 in the Colony of Victoria, the daughter of Joseph McMillan and Sarah Livingston. [1]
In 1900, Janet Nimmo McMillan married O'Connell Power in the Colony of Victoria.[2]
MISSING HUSBAND. At the Colac Police Court yesterday, Mrs Janet Power, applied for a warrant to issue for the arrest of her husband, O'Connell Power, printer, who, she stated, had not contributed to her support or communicated with her for the past nine months. The applicant informed the Bench that she had five children, and was dependent to some extent on the Ladies' Benevolent Society for support. She did not know where her husband was. Messrs J. F. Parkinson, and D. C. Dunoon, J's.P., made an order for the issue of a warrant, as requested.[3]
She passed away in 1957, aged 80.[4]
