John was born about 1781.

The Macon Telegraph reported that John M. McMurrain shot John Wright on July 15, 1842 near Lagrange, GA.

John McMurrain lived 8 miles from Macon on Tobesofka Creek on Old Federal Road.

On January 18, 1839 John McMurrain’s gin was destroyed by fire.

It was 1851 when John passed away from CAUSE OF DEATH. He was buried PLACE OF BURIAL, CEMETERY NAME.
