Biography

William McNamara has Irish ancestors.

William J. McNamara, son of Michael McNamara and Mary Cloney, was born in 1863 (or 16 August 1865) In Pavilion, Kalamazoo, Michigan.

On 4 April 1894 William Cloney wed Frances Rector, who bore him three daughters: [1]

  1. Mildred McNamara;
  2. Margaret McNamara;
  3. Doris McNamara.

In 1900 William was living in Alamo township, Kalamazoo county, Michigan. [2] In 1910 William was living in Pine Grove township, Van Buren county, Michigan. [3]

Wiliam took leave of this world on 20 April 1913 at Pavilion. He was buried on 20 April 1913 in the Catholic Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo, Michigan. [4]

Obituary

" William McNamara. The funeral of William McNamara who died on April 17 at his home in Pavillon towhship was held on Sunday at 10.30 a.m. from the family residence, the Rev. A. M. Griffith, of Kalamazoo, officiating. Burial was at Riverside cemetery in Kalamazoo. Deceased was a son of Michael and Mary McNamara. He was born in Pavillon township on August 16, 1865 and with the excepton of four years, when he lived near Kendall, Van Buren county, he resided in the township where he was born. On April 4, 1894 he was married to Frances Rector, to whom were born three daughters, Mildred, Margaret, and Doris, who with the widow and a brother, James in Kalamazoo, survive." [5] [6]
