Biography
Blair was born in 1944 in Evanston, Nova Scotia. He was the son of Dominic McNamara and Catherine McNamara. He was married to Jean Gerroir. He passed away in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston, in 2014.
His obituary notes:
Blair was retired from Stora Forest Industries where he worked as an electrician for 37 years.
Active in the community, Blair was viewed as the go-to individual and the necessary glue that kept the fabric of Riverdale Community Center strong and vibrant. Blair was the violin component of The McNamara Band, entertaining people all over the Strait Area for many years. His family’s gift of music brought joy and happiness to friends, near and far.
