Willie Mae is the daughter of Isiah McNeil and Ethel Jammer.
She was Italic textnamed after NAMESAKE OR ORIGIN OF NAME.
Willie Mae grew up in CHILDHOOD HOME.
She went to school at SCHOOL NAME(S) and graduated in YEAR OF GRADUATION.
She married Robert Arthur Scott in Angleton on 22 March 1937 in Brazoria County.
Willie Mae was the pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Angleton for over 35 years, active in worldwide missions, and completed The Bible Training Institute for Ministry. She enjoyed playing the piano, guitar, tambourine (loved musical instruments), singing and she also loved to cook and to travel. She raised six children.
Some of the things most important to Willie Mae included family, church and music, plus all of the extended family and friends. She was referred to as Granny by family and close relatives/friends. She had an infectious laugh that sounded like a shriek and giggle. She had what the grandchildren referred to as a magic handbag that seemed to always have the right lozenge, candy, tissue or scratch pad and crayons.
She was 5'1" and a bit heavy, but she had tremendous energy and walked regularly, rode a 3-wheel bicycle and entertained visitors and friends from church.
May 29, 2009: Granny passed away from natural causes (due to complications from a stroke that occurred two years prior). She was buried at Peaceful Rest Cemetary in Brazoria TX.
