John was born in 1862. He was the son of George McPhatter. He passed away in 1925. [1]

1870 McEachins, Robeson, North Carolina; George, a farm laborer, lived with his wife Effie and children Edmund and Caroline. [2]

1880 Blue Springs Township, Robeson, North Carolina; George, a farmer, lived with his wife Effie and children Edmund and Caroline, both farm laborers, Jennett, Sarah J., Frederick, George D. and David (listed as ill-teething).[3]

1900 District 1547, Bulloch, Georgia; John E lived with his wife Dina and their children Simon, Effie, George and John. [4]

1910 Militia District 1547, Bulloch, Georgia; Edmund lived with his wife Drina(or DIna) and children Effie, Georgia, John, Daniel, Thomas, Hattie and Alinton.[5]

1920 Emit, ED 19, Bulloch, Georgia; Edmund was living with wife Dina, and children John, Effie, Thomas, Katie Pearl, Clenton E, and Walter G. [6]
