The preceding information presents the possibility that they were her parents, however, there are two Pedigree File family trees for Agnes McPherson, wife of Benjamin Berry, name Joseph, son of Stephen and Mary Pyler McPherson, and Margaret Ann McPherson as her parents. Both are linked to her husband and have this citation.[8]The trees for Benjamin Berry may be found on here.[9] In addition, the grandparents of Benjamin Berry are in doubt on these trees, as well.
Keep in mind that the sources for this book were his direct descendants.[10]
In addition, the research on Stephen McPherson named him as Jr, married (1) Ann, had two children, Mary and Lydia, (2) Sarah Hibbs in the Goose Creek Meeting Record, Virginia. Thought to have spent time in Ohio.[11]
More research is required to name her parents with any certainty. When Ancestry sources are used in the discussion and as sources it seems it would be appropriate to name them and not just leave it as an unknown for other researchers.
