Church birth Records for Thomas show he was Baptized in 1807 to John McPherson.[1] The 1850 Census lists Thomas age 46 [1804] in Ireland.[2]
He passed away in 1855. Thomas' death was confirmed from an article published in the Memphis Daily Appeal, Thurs, 10/18/1855; "We learn that on Monday evening last, Mr. Thomas McPherson, of DeSoto county, Miss., was shot and killed by Mr. Morrison Futrell, of the same county. Both parties lived near Tatesville."
With Thomas' will, several of his family have been documented. He listed:
brother, Adam McPherson and Adam's wife, Mary Green, as well as Adam's son, Thomas A, and Adam's daughters, Lydia and Virginia.
A "beloved niece," Agnes, was also listed, but not any other of her family members. Perhaps Agnes is a daughter of Robert McPherson or James McPherson.
