Biography

Carl Frederick McPherson, 63, of Gap Mills, Monroe Co, died in a Charleston hospital Monday night.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs Hallie Carper McPherson; two sons, Oscar of Charleston & James, at home; five daughters, Mrs Pauline Lilly & Miss Imogene McPherson, both of Charleston; Mrs Charles Jordan, St. Albans; Misses Hazel & Helen McPherson, both at home, & one granddaughter, Catherine Lilly.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm at the Pine Grove Church near Gap Mills, with Rev. O. F. Surface & Rev. A. B. Shiflett officiating & burial will follow in the Gap Mills Cemetery. - published Nov 24, 1948 in Beckley Post-Herald, Beckley, WV
