Mr. Robert A. McPherson, Pennsylvania, a nephew of the Clerk of House, died last night of pneumonia. Deceased was an assistant doorkeeper of the House of Representatives and had many friends.

Note: According to the Federal Census of 1850, Robert McPherson, age 38, lived in Baltimore Ward 14, Baltimore, Maryland, USA with his wife Mary (Kemp), age 23; George Kemp, 26; Mary R. McPherson, age1; "Robinson" (Robert A.??), age 21; and Anna Whalen, age 19.

Note: According to the Federal Census of 1860, Robert McPherson, age 48, lived in District 1, Montgomery Maryland with a post office address of Laytonsville. His occupation was listed as "Merchant". He lived with his wife, Mary E. (Kemp) McPherson, age 32; Mary McPherson, age 11; Robert McPherson, age 8; George C. McPherson; age 5, Dorsey McPherson, age 3; Jennet D. McPherson, age 1 1/2; Mary E. Dorsey 14; Carroll McClean, age 30; Dorcos Bolton, age 52; and Mary Sampson, age 19.

Note: According to the Federal Census of 1870, Robert McPhearson, age 58, lived in Washington Ward 5, Washington , District of Columbia, USA, The census sheet was not legible so his occupation was not visible. He lived with his wife, Mary E. (Kemp) McPHearson, age 43; Robert McPhearson, age 18; George McPhearson, age 16; Dorsey McPhearson, age 13; and Jennetta McPhearson, age 10. (Note the misspelling of the last name.)
