Note on family

In the 1880 census on the same page as John and Elizabeth are some more McQueen's it seems likely that they are related. A review of the McQueens that are also buried at Mount Hope suggests that John McQueen, and Jewett Campbell, parents of Archibald and possibly Charles might be the parents of Elizabeth. See Archibald McQueen .[1]

Biography

Elizabeth McQueen[2] was born about 1809 in New York.[3]

She married John Murray about 1842.[3]

She and John appeared on the census of 27 Sep. 1850 at Leicester, Livingston County, New York.[3] She and john appeared on the census of 14 July 1860 at Thornapple, Barry County, Michigan.[4] She and John appeared on the census of 9 July 1870 at Yankee Springs, Barry County, Michigan.[5]

Elizabeth died 1 March 1890 probably in Barry County, Michigan and was buried at, Middleville, Barry County, Michigan. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone shared with John that has the date of her death.[6]
