Biography

John McQuillen was born in 1899 in Echo, Minnesota. He served in World War I in Panama. After the war, he lived briefly in Park Falls, Wisconsin, where he met his first wife, Ruth Haga. They were divorced in 1926, and he married secondly Frieda Zenger. In about 1930 John relocated to Medford, Wisconsin, where he first sold insurance, then operated the Lake Esadore Hi-View Resort. He married his third wife, Theresa Bauer, in Medford. In about 1940 John was selected Undersheriff of Taylor County, Wisconsin, and served in that office for many years. In 1948 he was elected a Justice of the Peace in Taylor County, a post which he held when he passed away in 1954. [1]
