Biography
Murdoch was born in 1801. He was the son of Kenneth McRae 1756–1811 and Mary McLennan 1760–1811
he arrived in Australia on November 9, 1852 aboard the ship John Davies having departed from Liverpool. Name Murdock McRae Nationality Scottish Arrival Age 43 Birth Date 1809 Departure Place Liverpool Arrival Date 9 Nov 1852 Arrival Place Victoria, Australia Ship John Davies [1] He was travelling with wife Janet, and their children Kenneth (11), Barbara, (8) Mary Ann (8) and Frances (6). He was listed as an agricultural labourer. Passage was assisted and he was indentured to work at Belfast Victoria.
He married Janet McKenzie in Scotland in 1831. .[2]
