Eileen was born Eileen Alice McRae on the 11th of October, 1943 in Balclutha, Otago, New Zealand, the 5th of 6 children of John Duncan McRae and Elizabeth Mabel Judge.^[1]

At 24, on the 23rd of March, 1967, she married James Arnold Bissland at Glenfalloch, Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, and they had 1 child.^[2]ref name="Molly" />^{[citation needed]}

At 26, in 1969, she was registered as living with Jim at 72 Royal Terrace, Dunedin.^[3]

At 29, in 1972, she divorced Jim on grounds of adultery, and went to live at 72 Passmore Crescent, Dunedin, having found work as a shop assistant.^{[4][citation needed]}

At 31, on the 16th of August, 1975, she married (private) in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand.^{[citation needed]}

At 35, in 1978, a clerk, she was living with (private) at Main Road, East Taieri, Otago, New Zealand.^[5]

At 64, in 2007, she published "Skidding the Tyres in Classic Style, a history of the Classic Motor Racing Club of NZ Inc.", in which she was a keen competitor.^[2]

At 69, in 2012, she published "Frugal Country and hard on the boots", a history of the Lake Ohau Valley, and the families settled there.^[2]

At 71, on the 14th of January, 2015, she died, in Timaru, Canterbury, New Zealand.^{[2][citation needed]}
