Biography

Catherine A. (McRae) Funcheon was born in Sep 1825 in Canada, the daughter of Irish parents. She immigrated to the US in 1826 (1900 US Census).

Catherine married James Funcheon. They had 5 children:

1. Sarah M. Funcheon (1847- )
2. Richard Funcheon (1850- )
3. Mary E. Funcheon (1852- )
4. Anna Eliza (Funcheon) Smith Hollenbeck (1857-1914)
5. Ella J. Funcheon (1862-1918)

In 1900 US Census she is age 76 and widowed and living with daughter Ella J. Funcheon (spelled Ferncheon).

Catherine passed away in 1903 in Flint, Michigan and was buried at Avondale Cemetery, Flint, Genesee County, Michigan.
