Biography

Betha Qumire McShan was born December 8, 1876 in San Jacinto County, Texas.[1] She was the daughter of Robert McShan and Elizabeth Gillespy. At age 3, she was in her parent's home in San Jacinto County, Texas, along with 9 siblings.[2]

She married Rolly Stephen Needham (1870-1939) ca. November 29, 1894 in Harris County, Texas. They had at least 8 children.

They made their home in Montgomery County, Texas, where in 1920, They were on their farm with Mattie-19, K.G.-17, J.D. 14, Vergie-12, Lila-9, Jonnie-6, and a Grandson, Steven Neer-1 in the home.[3]

Her husband Rollie Steven passed away on December 31, 1939, in Conroe, Texas, at the age of 73. They had been married 45 years.

At age 63, and widowed she was living in Montgomery County, Texas in 1835-1940, With her son J.D. and Granddaughter, Mary-11.[4]

She passed away on March 21, 1966, at the age of 89, in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas,[5] and was buried in the White Oak Cemetery in Porter, Montgomery County, Texas.[1]
