Joseph Owen McShane was a son of Peter McShane and Matilda Keenan. He was born in Renfrewshire, Scotland in 1867. He immigrated to the United States in 1887.[1] He was naturalized in July 1892 in New York County.
Joseph married Theresa L. Morris, daughter of John Morris and Bridget Lynch, in 1893.[2]
On the 1900 Census Joseph and Theresa are living in the home of Theresa's father. Theresa passed away in 1916.[3]
In 1930 Joseph was living in the home of his sister, Rose. In 1931 they went on a cruise to Europe. By 1940, Joseph had remarried. His wife was Rosemary. No further information has been found.
There is a Joseph McShane who passed away in Orange County, Florida in 1953. It is unknown whether this is the same person.
