Hey Jean,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards .

If you need to describe an event, heirloom or a location relevant to your research, try Free Space Profiles .

If you run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving these unfortunate situations.

A project of note is the Global Family Reunion check it out at Global Family Reunion.

Hello Jean,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

Jean, you are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.

If you need any help getting started check out the help section from the menu, top right, or head over to the G2G forum and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House, you might also want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Welcome to the tree. Bill

I would like to add my family tree

Jean,

You clicked on the Volunteer button indicating that you would like to collaborate and add family information. Volunteering means that you want to help with the Wikitree Mission and plan to abide by the Wiki Genealogist Honor Code. If that’s correct, please leave us another comment here on your profile letting us know how you would like to contribute to building the “Tree”, ie loading your family tree, joining a Wikitree Project and one of our Greeters will be happy to add you as a member of WikiTree. If you just want to explore, search for relatives or family information, you can do that as a Guest without Volunteering. Please let us know.
