Stephen Bradford McVey was born on June 28, 1837, the son of Samuel & Rhoda. He married Nancy A Hinkle about 1865 and they had children; Nancy died in 1891 and Stephen married widow Didama (Looney) Stockton in 1893. He died on January 24, 1905, in Fair Play, Missouri, at the age of 67, and was buried in Dade, Missouri.
