Hi Susan, it's been eleven days since I asked if your still interested in the US Civil War Project. I'll assume if I haven't heard from you in the next ten days that your interest in the project has changed, and I'll remove your badge. I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

It looks like you may have some outstanding merges that can be completed. You can find them by following the link at the top of this page under >My Wikitree>Watchlist, then hit the button that says Pending Merges. If you need help, just ask.

Thanks for helping with Wikitree

HI Robin, thank you for letting me know. I haven't been working much on Wikitree lately (kind of broke my heel). I think I have caught up with the mergers for now. The only question is on the Louisa Shouse it is giving me an error message and don't want to mess anything up. If you could check on her merge for me that would be great.
I completed the merge for you....the date on the "other profile" was way off, so it was creating an error. No problem and thanks for your help!

Hi Susan,

FYI - When I do a GEDmatch comparison of you and James Owen,

I get Largest segment = 14.3 cM, not 40cM.

Comparing Kit JV905904C1 (Susan McCollister) [Combined] and Kit TR2682490 (James Owen) [23andMe]

Segment threshold size will be adjusted dynamically between 200 and 400 SNPs Minimum segment cM to be included in total = 3.0 cM Mismatch-bunching Limit will be adjusted dynamically to 60 percent of the segment threshold size for any given segment.

Hi Susan, I just wanted to thank you for all the work you've done to improve the US Civil War Between the States Project. I'm doing a check-in with all project members and wanted to verify that you're still interested in being a member of the project. Also, any suggestions for the Project would be welcome. We match! I noticed your interest in Forbes profiles.

Do you happen to have any information on Edward Forbus b. 1805 SC? That's my 3G grandfather and I am trying to trace his lineage. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Susan,

Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention those profiles need.

Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Hi Susan or should I say, Cousin!

I hope you are well. We do have many similar profiles but they need some research before I can merge them. Theresia Kennedy

Good Morning Theresia, we are cousins. I checked our DNA and we have a match as well ! I am so glad you are here. I have had a time with our Kennedy, Canady, ect line. I will post the sources I have on the profiles . Just let me know if there is anyway I can help.

Nice to meet you Theresia

Hi Susan

I noticed that you have created numerous duplicate profiles over the past months. Please remember to be thorough in your research prior to creating a profile in order to avoid creating duplicates. IF you need help understanding the processes, please ask.

posted by Robin Lee
I started being super cautious about linking to established profiles, if anything appears off for a merge I hesitate to take it. I will start to take a closer look . I figured they were duplicates but wasn't positive and didn't want to make a mistake on it. I learned alot following your merging and will be more attentive to the merges If I have questions I will start asking about the merges instead of bypassing them. Thank you for what you've done

I think I am dealing with the beginnings of Alabama. I am confused I admit. I am not looking for Indians per say although it seems some ancestor lived very close to them. The removal as you said between 1830-1832. I have William Peoples being born 1826 in St. Claire Ala. Peoples-179. I'm assuming they came in groups. I've seen references to forts. They came in at the very beginning I think. Is this what could be happening.
The Choctaw Armstrongs are not related to your family. The Choctaw were Removed to Indian Territory in 1830-32. John Armstrong was from Tennessee.

Your family is clearly recorded back to the 18th century on U.S. Census records, not on any Indian records. I'm sorry, but there just isn't an Indian connection.

check out this profile, its an old one. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Whitehill-40

How do I know its old? Its missing the Bio and Source headers. But the person who added a source, probably during a Thon, only added that one census. No Frills. I only add a few frills. And that is legal.

Re:Owens family. Susan I have no problems with collaborating. But I would ask that you not change the formats that I have on Owen and Susan. I have them the way I want them. Its easy to see the growth of the family and is in time line order, This is where they were and the people recorded with them. While inline sources may be great, it can be distracting when overused.

Hi Susan, thanks for your comment on the 2 John Woodalls that need to be merged. The one you indicated is Woodall-167. Would appreciate very much letting me know the wikitree ID for the other John Woodall. If you are referring to Woodall-144 born 1710 in England he has a different father and lacks any documentation he came to America. Can you provide some facts and your reasoning for the merge. Appreciate your input on this.
I have adopted some Bakers that I don't know since they were orphaned. I do believe this one may be on my DNA line. I will have to follow up on this with you.
