Mr. Robert McKee died very suddenly at his late residence, about a mile north-east of this place, shortly before noon on monday. The old gentleman appeared as well as usual during the forenoon and spent some time conversing wth Mr. Wilson, one of his neighbours. Mr. Wilson, during the conversation noticed Mr. McKee lean back in his chair and apparently fall asleep. Mr. Wilson at once left the room thinking Mr. McKee was weary. Shortly afterwards his daughter entered the room and was shocked to find her father dead. Heart disease was the cause of death. Deceased was born in Ireland and came to this country when quite young. He first settled in the county of Simcoe near Churchill. About 30 years ago, he purchased a farm about a mile north-east of this place and has resided there since. He leaves 2 sons and 2 daughters - Dr. McKee, who is at present in England; James, who is residing in Honolulu; Mrs. W.J. Brown of Whitchurch and Mrs. Marshall Wilson who is residing on the old homestead. The funeral took place at the Aurora Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon and was very largely attended showing the high esteem in which the deceased was held by his neighbours.
