Mary J. McKeel, 1854-1924, was born in New York, the daughter of Samuel McKeel and Rebecca Ann Hadden. She married Mead Van Tassell. They had at least three children. Mary died in 1924, and is buried at Coldsprings Cemetery. She was 69 years, six months, and five days. [1]

In 1860, the McKeel family lived on their farm in Phillipstown, Putnam, New York. The household included

In 1910, the McKeels lived in their rented house in Phillipstown, New York. Mead, 55, was a laborer for a private family. Mary was 50. They had been married for 35 years, and had had three children, all of whom were living. [6]

In 1915, Mead McKeel, 60, and Mary, 59, lived in Phillipstown, New York. [7]

Mary and Meade are not listed on FindAGrave in New York. Their sons, Martin Leonard VAN TASSEL (1878-1944) and Seymour VAN TASSEL (1879-1920) are buried with their wives at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring, NY. According to the cited familysearch Family Tree, Mary is buried there as well.

Mead Van Tassell/Van Tassel, 1854-11Nov. 1920, was the son of Benjamin and Susan (Odell). He had at least seven siblings (named on Familysearch Fam. Tree). None are on Wikitree.
