The birth of Rebecca Mead was registered in the Norwich district in the third quarter of 1876; her mother's maiden name was Houghton.[1] This matches with a baptism at St Stephen, Norwich on 18 October 1876 where the parents were William and Rebecca Mead.[2]
At the 1881 census she was living in Heigham with her mother Rebecca (31 born in Norwich), who was a Shopkeeper/Greengrocer, and her siblings Willie 9 and Laura 3.[3]
In 1901 she was living in Shoreditch with her mother, step-father James Ferman, and brother Arthur.[4]
She married William Harold Holdway in Bethnal Green in the second quarter of 1903.[5]
