Biography

William was born about 1515. He was the son of John Mede. He passed away in 1565.

No will has been found for William Meade but he was in the wills of his father and his older brothers.

In the will of his father, John Meade of Mill End, Great Easton, he received five pounds, as well as twenty pounds from his brother Robert who received their father’s tenement. The residue of John’s goods were to be divided among his three sons, but William was to have the first choice.^[1]

William Meade was the executor of the will of his brother Robert Meade of Great Easton in 1561. ^[2]

He was also mentioned in the will of John Meade of Great Easton in 1566: “all such goods and legacies as Agnes Meade daughter of William Meade my brother late deceased has willed and given her by his last will and testament.”^[3]
