Mary Polly Meador was born in 1788 in Franklin, Virginia to Richard Meador and Sarah Yates. She married James Spradling on 22 May 1813 in Bedford, Virginia. Children: Calvin, John, Anna Eliza, Meador, Mary Jane, Sarah Ann, James R, Charles Robert, John J. She died in 1837 in Virginia.
