He is listed as age 4 in the 1930 US federal census for DeKalb Co. GA in the household of his father.^[1] The surname is incorrectly recorded as "Meadow" in the original record, and the FamilySearch transcription of the record incorrectly lists his relationship as "daughter."

He is listed as age 14 in the 1940 US federal census for DeKalb Co. GA in the household of his father.^[2]
