Biography

Cynthia Meadows was born about 1829 in Virginia. The date of record for the 1850 census was June 1, 1850 which reported that Cynthia was 25 years of age. She was married to [[Smith-97437| Henry Smith age 37 years and they were living in Boone County of Virginia. The children listed were Jackson age 14, Mary A. age 12, Parker age 7, Lewis age 6, William age 5, Cumberland age 3 and Isaiah age 1 year. Also living with the family was her father in-law William Smith Sr.

She passed away after 1880

Research Note

Regarding Cynthia's parentage she may be one of the females in Mathias Meadows' household in the 1830 census. A very good reason for identifying Cynthia as a daughter of Mathias Meadows is the fact Connie Daniels Graves GEDmatch T402351 has a strong DNA match (48.5 cM) with Barbara Treichel GEDmatch A938670. Wikitree relationship finder shows Barbara and Connie are fourth cousins twice removed. Barbara (Pennington) Treichel and Connie (Daniels) Graves are both descendants of Mathias Meadows.

Also in consideration for what it is worth Barbara Treichel GEDmatch A938670 shows a 24.9 cM match with James Applegate making them 3rd cousins once removed. Their MCRA's 5/4 William Lambert & Nancy Hedrick as well as 7/6 Francis Meadows & Mary Bell.
