George Mear lived in Okahukura, Manawatū-Whanganui, New Zealand.
George James Mear, eldest son of George Mear and Mary Amelia Ann Barton was born in 1898.[1]
George James Mear is listed on the 1925 Waimarino Supplementary Electoral Rolls. His residence is listed as The Tiffin, Main Street, Taumarunui, and his occupation as Cook. [2]
In 1926, George James Mear married Olga Maud Mills.[3] It was a second marriage for Maude. They do not appear to have had any children together.
In his father, George Mear's 1931 probate record, George James Mear, listed with his mother Mary Amelia Ann Mear in the probate, is described as "of Taumarunui, Motor Service Provider". [4]
Maude died in March 1941. [5]
George remarried subsequently - the record has not yet been located.
George James Mear, born 28 October 1898, died on 15 Aug 1979. [6] His will names his wife, sole executrix, as Joyce Mary Mear. [7]
