Mrs. Guidry to be Buried in Rites Today
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today for Mrs. Walton Guidry, 90, former resident of Sunset who died in Shreveport at 7:10 a.m. Saturday.
Rites will be at a Low Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, with burial in the church cemetery. A rosary was held at 8 p.m. Saturday at Lafond and Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Guidry was the former Marie Meche of Grand Coteau. She is survived by three sons, Rodney Guidry of Sunset, George Guidry of Houston, Tex., and Marion Guidry of Abbeville; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Prudhomme of Shreveport, Miss Louise Guidry of Monroe and Shreveport, and Mrs. J. A. Devalcourt of New Orleans; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grand-children.
