In his obituary it was listed that he was married thirty nine years to Mary Rugh. The couple, according to the obituary, had thirteen children, eight sons and five daughters. At the time of Dewalt's death nine children survived. In the article, the names of the children were not listed.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Theobald by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Theobald:
Macklin-504 and Mechlin-36 appear to represent the same person because: I created Macklin-504 and then later discovered that Mechlin-504 existed with the same birth date and death date. They are the same person. The individual's name has been listed a Mechlin in a number of documents. The last name of Macklin is listed on his tombstone. I added the information in Mechlin-504's profile. However, in his obituary his name is spelled Mechlin.
A birth date should not be more than 60 years before or after a sibling's birth date.
Jacub Mechling is listed as being born in 1698 in Germany. He can't be Theobald's brother.
