10 Feb 1881 James Andrew Medley was born in Shannon County, MO[1]

2 June 1900 James Andrew Medley was living in Sinking, Dent County, MO with his parents Jesse and Malinda Medley, and siblings John R Medley 13, Maud R Medley 10, Myrtle J Medley 8 and Eva M Medley 5. Record shows his occupation as farmer and his highest grade completed was 4th grade. His parents were born in MO.[2]

29 Nov 1904 James Andrew Medley married Tennessee H Prater in Salem, Dent County, Missouri.[3]

20 Apr 1910 James Andrew Medley was living in Newton, Shannon, Missouri with his wife Tennessee Medley and children Annie Medley 5, Marion Medley 3 and Louis E Medley 4 months of age. Record shows he was living next to his father-in-law David Prater. His occupation was farmer and he could not read or write. He had been married 5 years and had worked 52 weeks of the previous year.[4]

20 Jan 1920 James Andrew Medley was living in Dent, Iron County, MO. with his wife Tennessee Medley 36 and his children Everett Medley 9, Irvin Medley 7, Hester Medley 4 and Julia Medley 1. Record shows his occupation as Laborer for the Railroad Section and that he is renting his home.[6]

11 Apr 1930 James Andrew Medley was living in Dent, Iron County, MO. with his wife Tennessee Medley 46 and his children, Irvin Medley 17, Hester Medley 14 and Julia Medley 11 and Walter 2. Record shows age of marriage was 22. He was a farmer on his own farm. Shows he owned his farm and now could read and write.[7]

25 Apr 1940 James Andrew Medley was living in Dent, Iron County, MO. with his wife Tennessee Medley 56 and his son Walter Medley 11 and grandson Carl Cole 20. Record shows he was a farmer and living on a rented farm on Hickory Grove Road. He was living in the same house in 1935.[8]

11 Sep 1961 James Andrew Medley passed away in Bixby, Iron County, MO. He is buried at Upper Indian Cemetery outside of Viburnum, MO[9]
