1930 US Census, Thomas F. Meehan is listed as (Francas) being 4 years old, born in Kentucky and living at 424 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY with his grandmother Sarah (Higgins) Meehan, his father Thomas Meehan, sister Sadie (Marilyn) and brother George. Sarah is listed as widowed and head of household. This is a boarding house with both boarders and roomers. My maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Gill, 24 years old is listed as a boarder, born in County Donegal, Ireland. ^[3]

1943 US Army Enlistment, On 19 April 1943 Thomas F Meehan enlists for military service in New York City, New York, United States claiming to be a citizen and born in Kentucky with 1 year of high school. Thomas is listed as single, without dependents and issued the rank of private. ^[6]
