Biography
William Meek was born in 1784.
He married Elizabeth Johnson.
Judge Meek passed away in 1863, and was buried at Bonaparte Cemetery, Bonaparte, Van Buren County, Iowa. .[1]
Together with Roger Cresap he laid out the town of Meek Mills, Iowa, later renamed Bonaparte.
He was also one of the founders of Constantine, Michigan.
William Meek was Chief Justice in Constantine, Michigan and later Associate Judge of the County Court of St. Joseph, Michigan.
