Parents Jacob and Elisabeth, along with children Henry and Emilie (Millie) immigrated in 1912 on an 18-day journey via S.S. Dominion from Liverpool, England to Portland, Maine. The records show they were headed to Belwood, Illinois to an Uncle Friedrich Haas. Although they planned to go to Illinois, the family ended up in April of 1912 in Monte Vista, Colorado. The family then moved to Pueblo but in 1913 they moved to Windsor, Colorado.
The family moved to Worland, Wyoming in 1923. Henry met Lydia and they married in 1927 in Basin, Wyoming. Henry farmed, worked sugar beet campaigns, and then became an automotive mechanic.
