Biography

Madeleine was born about 1697. She was in Chelmsford Massachusetts for the 1758 Census at age 61, in 1760 age 62). She married Jean dit Jane Landry (son of Antoine and Marie Thibodeau) in 1717 (no location available). [1]

Madeleine died at age 70 in Yamachiche[2]. She and her husband died of smallpox which raged in Quebec in the 1757 years and 1758.

Research Notes

SAWhite gives her birth based on several census as in 1697. PRDH gives 1699 in St-Charles-des-Mines, Grand Pre Acadie. Using 1697 from White and Grand-Pre from PRDH as her older sibling was born there too.

Melanson-49 and Melanson-127 do not represent the same person because: Thanks for noticing the similarities! They have different parents but were linked to same spouse so easy to think they might be the same. I removed the spouse from Melanson-49--he already has his spouse. I am still researching.
