John "Jack" Melick was an American bandleader, pianist, and music arranger.

Born in 1929^[1] at North Plainfield, New Jersey, Jack was the son of John Melick and Marjorie Stryker.

The family lived at Flemington, New Jersey^[2] and North Plainfield, New Jersey^[3][4]

He married Nancy Dow at North Hollywood, California on August 25, 1956^[5][6] and had a son before divorcing.
