Mellon-278 and Mellen-74 appear to represent the same person because: Likely same person -278 had no sources and estimated date. The surname has various spellings. Please approve the merge.

All the other James Mellens born in Framingham are on Wikitree (I found another one not on the list below because he didn't have a birth location which I put in. I could not, in a quick search, find any of them who died about 1820. Could probably just do a merge into the one with the closest birth date (1755) unless you want to keep this profile open. Only a suggestion. I don't think I can find anything more.  :)

Can you initiate a merge with the one that looks best to you, Kim?

No worry! I think we all have those loose ends. Maybe if one of those Jameses above isn’t on WT we could “turn it into” one of them. Technically not supposed to do that but since you don’t have other info for this profile it’s make sense to me. Don’t worry about it anyway.

Hi, Kim. I apologize. I created this profile in 2019, and because there are no connections to my other research, I cannot decipher even why I created the profile. Awful. If I can figure out a way to delete him, I will.
