Biography

Both Sarah and husband Latham are buried in Gaddin Cemetery, Prairie Rd., Wilmington. In the 29 Oct. 7979 issue of the Wilmington News Journal, a Clyde Storer of Wilmington, had unearthed a tombstone in his yard. "Sarah Starbuck died 30, Aug. 1852". Who ever wrote this article I am recording from says: I called him and went after it. Joe, Iola and Jim and myself took it back to Gaddis Cemeter. Joe & Jim mixed cement and reset it. Sarah Melton Starbuck's tombstone had come home. 14 children.
